Malnutrition among school-going children is a challenge faced by our nation. In continuation of previous intervention done with The Akshay Patra Foundation for the above cause during 2020-21, the foundation was supported for purchase of 6 Food Distribution Vehicles across the nation. The Akshay Patra Foundation has collaborated with the 'Mid Day Meal' scheme of the government for providing hot cooked meals from a centralized kitchen. The new vehicles will provide five lakhs plus yearly hot meals to students, which will enhance their nutrition status and increase their attention.

The vehicles are provided to four states and five locations namely - Hyderabad (Telangana), Bangalore (Karnataka), Hubli (Karnataka), Lucknow (2 vehicles - UP), and Nathdwara (Rajasthan)
